Violence is a serious problem in the United States.

From infants to seniors, it affects people in all stages of life. Violence is a leading cause of injury, physical and mental disability, and death. The consequences of violence, for both victims and perpetrators, are costly. Just as individuals are traumatized by violence so are communities, however, by working together with resources, knowledge, and expertise communities can help protect themselves and individuals from all forms of violence.
